Dr. Les Beck is a world-renowned uranium expert and has been a geological and mineral policy consultant since 1993. Dr. Beck was, for thirteen years, the Executive Director of Saskatchewan Energy and Mines (Geology and Mines Division). He is an Adjunct Professor in Geology at the University of Regina and the author of approximately 30 technical and scientific publications, many dealing with uranium deposits in Saskatchewan.
Dr. Beck has headed the Company's Technical Advisory Committee since early 1997, and was instrumental in the selection of its uranium prospect properties. In all, he brings to the Board over 40 years of experience at all levels in the location and development of uranium deposits in the Athabasca Basin of Northern Saskatchewan, the richest uranium producing region in the world. Dr. Beck has been a Director of JNR since August of 2000.
